Your toolbar seems to work fine with Mozilla 9.2 in Mac OS X. Thanks for your work. I only wish it had been available 1 year ago when I was finishing my disertation.

The PubMed toolbar also works (with no probs) with Mozilla 9.2 in Win98.

Thanks for making a poor PhD student's life easier.

I just noticed that you can't hide the toolbar. It makes Mozilla stop

Using Moz 0.9.7 and pubmed 0.2

[4] Submitted by: hn on Thursday January 24th 2002

PubMed on Moz 0.9.7+ Build 2002010304 on MacOS 8.6 works great.

The ability to modify the URL for the PubMed search would be nice. Some places have site licenses to access several journals when linked from PubMed, but they require a specific URL to enter into PubMed for this to work.

[5] Submitted by: Funkymonkey on Tuesday February 5th 2002

Just installed pubmed 0.2 on Moz 0.9.8 (still running Win98). Works with no problems.

Using PubMed 0.2 on Mozilla 1.0 RC1 on eComStation 1.02

Works great. Can hide toolbar without stopping Mozilla ;c)

[7] Submitted by: Damir Perisa on Sunday June 16th 2002

PubMed 0.2 didn't work with Moz 1.0M fully featured: PubMed Menu works, but the 'Go'-Button generates a search with the Mozilla-Default Search-Engine(as defined in properties:navigator:internet search)

(BuildID: 2002053012 Platform:X11,Win98,WinNT5(2000),WinNT5.1(XPpro))

PubMed 0.3 works with Mozilla 1.1current (1.1a to buildID 2002071008)

good job

Excellent, pubmed toolbar is very good idea. There is only little such things (in our branch), which simplified our work. I wish there will be some other toolbar (for utilities on expasy etc. ooo ;-)

[10] Submitted by: Damir Perisa on Tuesday September 3rd 2002

what do you think about making ExPASy-toolbar and Pubmed-toolbar ONE toolbar?

the ExPASy-toolbar's main-button has a great menu - it would be nice to have a submenu for Pubmed (instead of having Pubmed as a second toolbar)(or other way - to have a submenu of ExPASy in Pubmed-TB) - maybe you have a talk with the owner of ExPASy-TB (only a suggestion!)

... and maybe we can make a general database-access-toolbar in far future (with modules for the databases; something like easysearch project and mycroft project)

I tried to install PubMed 0.3 into Netscape 7.0 (same look and features as Mozilla 1). Does NOT work. Garbage at the bottom of the windows.

How can I uninstal???

[12] Submitted by: Michal Kurowski on Monday October 14th 2002

PubMed tool is a very nice but I think it would be better to have a sidebar instead of toolbar. Why ? Because it suits there better. And also it wouldn't shrink our viewing area. The difficult part is to make a typing area comfortable enough. But I think it can be done.

Great Application. I have been using it since it was launched.

Although a sidebar seems as a good idea an will allow additional features; I do not think it should replace the pubmed toolbar. I like the pubmed search bar as it is for quicker and easier accessability, Many of my colleagues at work are not that technical and would not even know how to make the sidebar appear...

The current format of the pubmed bar is very good.

I would like the next version to be available for Phoenix.

I was wondering if you could get this to work with Netscape 7.0. At my institute they don't let us use mozilla.

I just insalled 0.3.1
Mozilla 1.2.1 crashed on start up. I uninstalled and reinstalled Mozilla 1.2.1 and the installation went OK but optimoz 0.3.4 does not install any more. There may be some conflict between Pubmed 0.3.1 and Optimoz 0.3.4

A version for Phoenix would be nice.

Thanks

The toolbar is convenient; however, it does not add any new functionality apart from eliminating a need to click on PubMed bookmark. The sidebar, as it is shown in your screenshot, would be a very covenient tool nicely complementing PubMed capabilities. Particularly, I like the possibility to store queries. Hope you will have time and will to finish it soon.
Thanks

Hi from Spain!!

[19] Submitted by: MBG on Monday March 17th 2003

Great plugin,

I am interested how the PubMed side bar will be. I hope it will be an addition and not a replacement of the current PubMed toolbar. I was wondering about the history of searches, and I wanted to ask if this involves any permanent cookies or just a hard disk file since most of the computers I use are set to store cookies for current session only. The search history would be great.

Thanks

I used the PubMed plugin with mozilla 1.3b. Now that I have _upgraded_ to 1.3 final, PubMed plugin isn't available on my machine. And, when I try to install 0.3.1, the link to/install, on your page, is dead. Will it be available soon?

Thanks

[21] Submitted by: hyt on Saturday March 29th 2003

I use PubMed quite a bit, and so for me the toolbar is the greatest extension ever--Thanks so much for your work! (A version that works with Phoenix would be icing on top of the cake :)

Greg: That's strange. I'm using 1.3, and it works fine (though I had to check/uncheck "View | Show/Hide | Pubmed Toolbar" a couple of times)... don't extensions install locally to your profile folder now? I don't think you need to reinstall it.

[22] Submitted by: hyt on Sunday March 30th 2003

I forgot to mention--Ctrl+A (for showing and hiding the bar) interferes with "Select All," which is very inconvenient at times. Can this be changed?

dear spammers, you are too obtrusive - it has never been good to be too greedy. at the end permanent spamming will result in reaction from the client side, normally banning, link deactivation, or the forums will be polluted until uselessness - for both sides.

Firebird port is the new troll... but seriously, firebird port-I'm too attached to my other plugins for firebird to abandon them for Moz.
